CM greets people on Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has conveyed hearty greetings to people of the state on the eve of Foundation Day of Madhya Pradesh. In a message,Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh is observing 51st anniversary of its formation. The 52nd Foundation Day of the state has ushered in new hopes of development, progress and prosperity. It is a co-incidence that the state is observing its foundation day amidst celebration of festival of joy such as Deepawali, he added.

He further stated in the message that this foundation day is an occasion for the residents of Madhya Pradesh to be proud of registering scores of achievements in key sector of development and to rededicate themselves to make Madhya Pradesh a progressive and pioneer state in the country.

The Chief Minister, has also acknowledged the people’s cooperation in getting the state emerging out of the category of “BIMARU” (sick) states. He said that he is of the firm belief that Madhya Pradesh would soon occupy an important place among the developed states of the country in the wake of new industrial investments and development works taking place in key areas of development.

Meanwhile, ‘Hostel Day’ would be celebrated in the hostels and ashrams for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes students on the Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day – November 1. A variety of programmes would be organised in SC-ST hostels of the state to mark the day. The Commissioner, Tribal Development, Jaideep Govind has appointed officers in charge to celebrate the occasion solemnly. The district collectors have also been issued with necessary guidelines regarding celebration of Hostel Day.

It may be mentioned that Chief Minister Chouhan had made an announcement during the Scheduled Castes Panchayat held on April 6 this year regarding celebration of ‘Hostel Day’ in the state every year. ([email protected])
