Twin bomb blasts kill at least 15 in Rawalpindi

Islamabad : At least 15 people were killed Tuesday in two separate bomb blasts in the Pakistani city of Rawalpindi, near capital Islamabad, local television channels reported.

A bus carrying government employees to their office was blasted, killing at least 10 and injuring several others, police sources said.

In a second incident, a bomb rigged to a motorbike in a market exploded killing five people.

The private Geo television channel suggested the two incidents were not suicide bombings but pre-planned attacks.

No group claimed responsibility for the bomb blasts.

Pakistan has seen escalating violence over the past two months. Two deadly suicide bombings rocked Islamabad in July, killing at least 30 and injuring around 100.
