Leh : A tourist from United States of America (USA) died under mysterious circumstances in a hotel room, here last night.
A police officer told News Agency of Kashmir that official of hotel Auspicious informed police that one of the guests was not opening door of his room since last evening. A police party rushed to the spot and opened the door of the room.
He said that body a middle aged person was found lying on the bed when the police team entered in the room. He was later identified as Robinson Michel Forbes (Passport number 016499132) resident of Reston, Virginia, USA.
Sources said that the tourist had arrived in Leh two days back and was staying in the hotel. Police said that the cause of the death was yet to be ascertained and body has been sent to District hospital for postmortem.
