Islamabad : At least 16 people were injured in a blast in the southern Pakistani city of Karachi, state-run media reported Friday.
The explosion Thursday night was caused by a hand grenade and occurred near a roadside teashop, the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) news agency quoted police sources as saying.
At least two of the injured were in serious condition, said the APP report.
Quoting eyewitnesses, private Geo TV channel reported that a car stopped near a crowded hotel in Karachi and a cracker was thrown from the car injuring 16 people.
