The delegation, led by Tony Allum, chairman of UK Trade and Investment’s Water Sector Advisory Group, will visit the state Sep 19-21, according to a statement from the office of the British deputy high commission in Chennai.

UK Trade and Investment will host a seminar on Sep 20 in Hyderabad. The seminar, entitled “Delivering sustainable and innovative water and wastewater projects”, will explore issues such as billing and legal aspects of projects.

Mike Connor, British deputy high commissioner in southern India, said the seminar would be an excellent opportunity for firms in Hyderabad to exchange notes with the British team. The seminar would include a presentation from Hyderabad Metro Water Supply and Sewerage Board.

Looking forward to his visit to Hyderabad, Allum said, “Many UK firms operate internationally and therefore have vast experience of adapting applications to suit particular needs. Some of the firms within this group include ABB and British Water. I am sure their technologies and case studies will be of interest to potential partners in Hyderabad.”
