Jaipur : The Congress in Rajasthan has decided to hold demonstrations and marches in all the district headquarters of the state on Monday and Tuesday to protest the alleged failures of the Vasundhara Raje government.
State Congress president B.D. Kalla said, “We would hold protest marches and demonstrations in all the district headquarters against the failure of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government for two days, a day before the state assembly session and on the day when the session starts,” Kalla said.
The monsoon session that starts Tuesday is likely to be stormy.
“We are set to raise the failures of the state government in the assembly,” Kalla said.
The law and order situation has gone completely out of control. Since the BJP came into power, all sections of society are feeling insecure, he said.
“We would also raise the arms license scam of Srigangangar, imposition of urban development tax and a raise in royalty on mines industry,” leader of opposition in the assembly Ram Narayan Choudhary said.
The agitation by the Gujjars demanding tribal status is also likely to figure in the session.
“We would also raise the issue of Surendra Singh Rathore, a minister in Vasundhara Raje government who has been convicted by a lower court for violation of mines safety act,” Choudhary said.
