Johannesburg : New Zealand defeated India by 10 runs at the New Wanderers Stadium here Sunday to make a winning start to their Group E campaign in the inaugural Twenty20 World Championships.
India finished at 180 for nine after New Zealand, asked to bat first, were bowled out for 190 in the stipulated 20 overs.
