Speaking to KUNA Wednesday, the sources said that Planning and Development Cooperation Minister Ali Baban decided to end the boycott and handle the ministry’s affairs after meeting with Premier Nouri Al-Maliki on Tuesday.

On his part, Baban said the return was temporary to serve common interest, as some important investment projects were suspended because of his withdrawal.

Baban is also a member of the Iraqi Islamic Party headed by Vice President Tareq Al-Hashemi.
The Accord Front withdrew from Al-Maliki’s government on Aug 1, 2007.
