“Around 45 kg of explosives and 400 pieces of detonators and fuse wires were recovered,” army sources was quoted as saying.

Three people have been arrested and are being questioned in connection with the seizure.

“Although their identities are yet to be established, we suspect they are from the terrorist group ULFA (United Liberation Front of Asom),” the sources said.

The ULFA revolt has killed more than 20,000 people since 1979, which declares it is fighting for Assam’s independence.
