Mute woman raped in Himachal

Shimla : A deaf and dumb woman was allegedly raped by two Kashmiri men in a Himachal Pradesh village, police said Thursday.

The 23-year-old handicapped woman was raped by two men in Chiksa village near Rampur, about 170 km from here Wednesday.

The woman was crying inconsolably after she was raped, which raised the alarm.

Villagers nabbed one of the culprits while the other managed to escape to a nearby forest. A search has been launched by police to catch the absconding man.

Both men have been working as labourers in the village for the past couple of weeks.
