New Delhi : The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Friday registered a criminal case against a former official of the country’s external intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) for divulging official secrets.
A CBI spokesperson said Maj Gen V.K. Singh has been “booked under Section 5 of Official Secrets Act for making wrong communication”.
CBI sleuths were conducting a raid at Singh’s residence at Palam Vihar in southwest Delhi Friday evening.
Singh, a former army officer who retired as RAW joint secretary, had recently written a book purportedly detailing some of the goof ups by the agency during the 1999 Kargil conflict.
