Indian u-18 football side loses practice tie

New Delhi : The touring Indian under-18 side lost its first practice match 0-2 to Augsburg FC under-19 team in Augsburg, Germany.

Both goals were scored in the first half, by Stefen Mueller in 22nd minute and Daniel Framberger in the 34th minute, at Paul Renz Sports facility Friday, according to a release from the All India Football Federation.

The Indians tried all their players in the match. They created moves but could not convert the half chances into goals.

Later, the Indian team had dinner at the City Centre and also saw a UEFA Cup match live on television.

The Indian team is currently on a training-cum-exposure tour of Germany. It is being hosted by German Bundesliga and is based at Augsburg.
