Srinagar : Police claimed to have arrested a militant of Hizbul Mujahideen from Dooru area on Sunday.
A police spokesman said that on specific information police apprehended the militant from his home during the wee hours today and recovered some arms and ammunition from his possession.
The arrested militant has been identified as Tariq Ahmad Bhat son of Hayat Bhat of Saskhudan Kapran at village Saskhudan, Kashmir falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Dooru
One AK Rifle, one AK Magazine and 20 rounds of ammunition were recovered from his possession, the spokesman added.
