New Delhi : Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Monday heartily congratulated the Indian cricket team for the victory in the Twenty20 World Championship after watching the nail-biting final between the sub-continental archrivals with “great interest”.
“Prime Minister Manmohan Singh watched the India-Pakistan Twenty20 World Cup final cricket match with great interest,” said an official statement.
“The prime minister has congratulated the Indian cricket team for an impressive performance and he said, ‘They played well and made us all proud. Keep it going Yeam India!’.”
The Prime Minister also complimented the Pakistani team for playing well.
