Thiruvananthapuram : The Kerala government Wednesday announced cash awards to medium pacer S.Sreesanth and opening batsman Robin Uthappa following the Indian team’s victory in the Twenty20 World Championships in South Africa.
“Sreesanth would get Rs.500,000 and Uthapa Rs.300,000,” Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan told reporters after the weekly cabinet meeting here.
While Sreesanth is a Keralite born and brought up here, Uthappa’s mother Roselyn is a Keralite from Kozhikode.
