On Oct 3, as a part of The India Celebration Week, a preview of Meera’s accessories and garments will be hosted by the museum and displayed in the Museum Rotunda and the Education Shop in New York for exclusive shopping.

Meera’s accessories have been displayed earlier at the Newark Museum Gallery as pieces of creative art, but this time a fashion show titled India Chic: Couture Fashion with Meera Mahadevia will be held to showcase her creations.

“I am delighted that such an honour has been bestowed upon me by the Newark Museum. India is a country of great contrasts, of old world culture, cutting edge style and rich history in exquisite creations. So it’s hardly surprising that the city of New York is engulfed by my unique Indian flavour. I am very excited about this opportunity,” said Meera.

Today her creations are showcased not only across India’s leading fashion houses, but also in Europe, Middle East, South-East Asia and the US.
