Vaeedi told IRNA Friday: “Such an allegation is being made under the circumstances that new round of Iran’s cooperation with the IAEA has begun on one hand, and Iranian constructive presence at the UN General Assembly, on the other.”

He said, “Such developments have created a positive atmosphere, removing the ground for negative moves and enmities against the Iranian nation at the UN Security Council.

“Under such conditions, publication of false allegation and bringing up new accusations in the run-up to meeting of Group 5 1 foreign ministers in New York are merely aimed at seeking excuses and pretexts, to disrupt the positive atmosphere created thanks to the Islamic Republic of Iran’s goodwill, initiatives, and constructive stands.”
