Samurai Product India’s brand Pavitra Saturday announced it has got Singh to endorse its water purifiers.

“Today when the pollution of water, air and food is increasing everybody has become cautious about their living habits, especially about water, and so water purifiers are a must today. I strongly feel that endorsing this brand will do well for society as well as the product,” said the bowler.

Rani Tiwari, MD of Rhiti Sports Management, said they had signed on Singh under a player management contract.

“The best part about this relationship is that the endorsement is also performance based, with R.P. Singh getting Rs.25,000 per wicket in ODI & Test and Rs.10,000 per 10 runs as bonus,” said Manoj Bhatia, CEO Samurai Product India.

‘Pavitra’ handed over a cheque of Rs.225,000 to Singh for his 9-wicket haul in the Twenty20 World Cup.

To reports that Singh’s mother wants him to marry a Bollywood actress, the cricketer said: “Even if my mother wants me to marry a Bollywood actress I know I come from a village background, so I think she (an actress) won’t be able to adjust with us.”
