Bhopal : Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited, (BHEL), Bhopal unit had received an order valuing Rs. 519 lakhs for supply of Relay Panels for Neyveli Lignite Corporation, (NLC), for their 2×125 MW Barsinghsar Thermal Power Project 220KV Switchyard in Rajasthan.
The scope included supply of 27 nos. Relay Panels for Barsinghsar Switchyard and Remote End RRVPNL Switchyard.
While the order was received in April 2006 with delivery by November 2007, the engineering inputs from the customer and their consultants for commencing the manufacture of the panels were frozen in last week of August 2007 only.
In view of the urgency expressed by NLC-Barsinghsar, the SCR Division of BHEL, Bhopal unit took up the challenge for design and manufacture of all 27 panels and successfully completed the same within a short span of 25 days. The panels have been inspected and cleared by the Consultants M/s TCE Ltd, Bhopal appointed by NLC and the panels are under dispatch to site. ([email protected])
