He said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that such reforms would come as a step to regain the people’s confidence after the elections in March of this year.

Abdul Razzaq stated, following the monthly cabinet meeting, that the government has strong political reliability that allows it to fulfill its commitments, and it will review its old policies and listen to the people openly.

He added that the reforms that had been done during the previous session did not meet the Malaysian people ambitions.

The Malaysian people are now more conscious, and the government has learnt its lessons from the last elections, he says.

Abdul Razzaq adds that the government is obliged to offer all necessary services to the Malaysian people, without social or ethnic discrimination.

The Malaysian Government is having a hard time with all the criticisms it receives, namely pressure against the prime minister that has compelled him to tender his resignation, in additional to an identical move by four ministers, due to misunderstanding with him on a number of issues.

The ruling party, Barisan Nasional (BN) — The National Front coalition, faced its worst losses since the beginning of general elections five years ago; where the party won with a semi-majority and failed to win the two-thirds, and lost four states, due to wide criticism because of high rates of inflation, spreading crime and corruption in the government departments.
