Dubai : The Defence Geospatial Intelligence Middle East conference would be held here April 27-29 with the participation of experts from the world’s leading geospatial intelligence organisations, WAM news agency reported Thursday.
The announcement was made at a press conference Wednesday by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) ministry of defence and the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research.
“The three-day Geospatial Intelligence Middle East forum gives military personnel an opportunity to meet key decision makers and exchange best practice and learning,” said Hugh James, divisional director at International Quality and Productivity Center, the organisers of the conference.
The conference would discuss the future of geographic information systems (GIS) as well as ways in which it could aid in homeland security and civil defence.
