Iranian, Senegalese presidents discuss bilateral ties

Mashhad (Iran) : President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his visiting Senegalese counterpart Abdoulaye Wade have held discussions here on major bilateral developments.

Wade arrived in Iran’s Holy city of Mashhad Wednesday night to pay homage to Imam Reza, the eighth imam of the Prophet Mohammad’s Household.

Ahmadinejad is in this northeastern city as part of the second round of his provincial tour to Iranian cities.

The two presidents held private talks after Wade was welcomed by his Iranian counterpart.

The two heads of state discussed promotion of Tehran-Dakar relations and cooperation.
