Ramallah : Israeli forces handed over the body of a Palestinian killed during clashes near Nahal Oz crossing yesterday, Medical sources in Gaza Strip reported Thursday.
Sources added, the body of Hassan Awadh, 23, a member of the Popular Resistance Committees and a resident of Rafah, south Gaza Strip, was handed over by the Israeli forces.
Islamic Jihad’s Quds Brigades said that communications with two militants involved in a mission against Nahal Oz was lost yesterday.
The announcement was made today that one of the two was killed and his body was handed over by the Israelis.
Jihad, Fatah, and the Popular Resistance Committees had claimed joint responsibility for an attack which killed two Israelis.
Meanwhile, the Israeli radio said the army opened an investigation into how Palestinian militants were able to pass through the iron fence and return to Gaza Strip after completing their mission.
