The letter was handed over to the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the Security Council by Iran’s permanent envoy to the UN, Mohammad Khazaei on Friday.

In his April 7 statement Israeli national infrastructure minister, Binyamin Ben-Eliezer, threatened the Iranian nation with destruction.

“Tehran has repeatedly protested to the UN and the Security Council over the threats made by Tel Aviv regime,” Hosseini told reporters at his weekly press conference.

He urged the international body and the council not to remain silent vis-a-vis the threats made by Israeli regime with a record of aggression and occupation possessing nuclear weapons.

Hosseini regretted that the UN and the Security Council act in line with the interests of Israeli regime.
