“The total number of polling stations where the polls have been canceled has now reached to 98 of 21 constituencies in 12 districts,” said spokesperson of the commission Laxman Bhattarai.

He was quoted by the daily as saying that among the total stations, 38 cancellations were decided by the EC while other decisions of 60 polling stations were made by local returning officers.

So far, the concerned chief returning officers or officers of the affected districts have set new dates of repelling, the EC said.

On Thursday, after the conclusion of the Constituent Assembly elections, the EC had said there will be repolling in only 33 centers. Nepal has 20,879 booths across the country.
