Gaza : Israel could plunge Gaza Strip population into a total darkness from Tuesday on due to the cut of fuel supplies, reported sources from that sector.
The chief of the Palestinian Oil Corporation in Gaza, Mujahid Salama, warned that the main power plant of that area will run out of oil due to the strict Israeli blockade.
“The remaining quantity of industrial fuel that allows the plant to continue operating will last until Tuesday,” said Salama in a report.
This situation will have catastrophic consequences for Gaza Strip inhabitants in all aspects of life, chiefly in education, and health, said the Palestinian official.
The energy crisis in that autonomous region has been intensified since Wednesday; after fuel supply was suspended and Nahal-Oz fuel terminal was closed, following a Palestinian resistance attack in which two Israelis died.
