Moussa to hold talks in Austria

Vienna : Arab League Secretary General Amre Moussa began here Wednesday an official visit to Vienna in which he will hold talks with Austrian President Heinz Fischer.

Moussa will also meet Austrian officials and Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Dr. Mohamed Al-Baradei.

According to a press release by the Austrian Foreign Ministry, Moussa will meet, Wednesday afternoon, with Austria’s Foreign Minister Ursula Plassnik to discuss the developments in the Middle East, the relations between Arab League and the European Union (EU), and the dialogue among civilizations and religions.

Moussa will also hold a joint press conference with Plassnik Wednesday afternoon.

The secretary general is also scheduled to meet Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Antonio Maria Costa to discuss organized crimes, human trafficking, and relations between the league and UN organizations.

Moussa will meet with Al-Baradei to discuss Middle East nuclear issues and the IAEA general assembly.

On Thursday, Al-Baradei will be giving a speech to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
