Ahmedabad : A man was Bobbittized by a gang in Ahmedabad, the police said.
A gang of three kidnapped the man identified as Shyam while he was coming from the Shahibaug neighbourhood Wednesday.
They took him to the outskirts of the city near the Ambli railway crossing. The man was first severely beaten up and then Bobbittized in a manner similar to the infamous John Bobbitt case of 1993, the police said.
A passer-by saw him lying on the pavement and called the emergency service.
He was admitted to the Civil Hospital. The doctors there said the victim had serious stab wounds and injuries on throat, hands, chest and abdomen.
