London : Murdered British teenager Scarlette Keeling’s mother is returning to India Saturday to find out why the 15-year-old’s internal organs were removed during autopsy.
The body of Scarlette, who was raped and murdered, was found on Goa’s Anjuna beach in February.
Her mother Fiona MacKeown rejected the results of the first autopsy, which had ruled out murder. She forced the Goan authorities to conduct a second post-mortem, which said Scarlette had been murdered.
After bringing the body back home, a third autopsy conducted by British experts found that Scarlette’s liver, pancreas and uterus had been removed.
MacKeown alleges a nexus between drugs barons, police and politicians in Goa for what she has called the “cover up” of her daughter’s murder.
Her lawyer, Vikram Varma, said she will also be speaking to India’s Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is to take over the case.
Goa police arrested two men for their alleged involvement in the case – Samson D’Souza and Placido Carvalho.
