Tehran : Investments to the tune of dlrs 2.085 billion will be made in projects to develop oil and gas fields in the west of the country in the fifth five-year economic development plan (2010-15).
Announcing this, Director of the Planning Affairs Department at Central Regions Oil Company Abdolrahim Torabizadeh told IRNA on Sunday that under the Oil Ministry’s strategic plan, dlrs 1.085 billion will be invested in development of oil fields such as Tang Bijar and Kermanshah in the west of the country during the period.
Torabizadeh said that a sum of dlrs one billion will also be invested in the development of fields such as Tangbijar and Cheshmeh Khosh in Dehloran.
He said in light of the new investment in the oil and gas sector, the west of the country will turn into the country’s oil and gas hub.
