Ranchi : Former chief minister Babulal Marandi Saturday said Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) chief Shibu Shoren should “seek people’s mandate instead of bowing to Sonia Gandhi and Lalu Yadav”.
“Shibu Soren should not bow his head to Congress president Sonia Gandhi and RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) chief Lalu Yadav to become chief minister of the state,” Marandi told reporters.
“If Shibu Soren wants to become chief minister then he should seek people’s mandate.”
“Soren is camping in New Delhi to meet Sonia Gandhi for last three days. Soren rarely gets to meet Sonia. He is indulging in political tantrums,” said Marandi.
According to reports, Soren has claimed ministerial berths in central government and is lobbying to become chief minister of Jharkhand for supporting the Manmohan Singh government in the crucial trust vote in parliament July 22.
