Chennai : One more convict, Raja Hussain, a suspected Islamic fundamentalist, is being interrogated for his role in a plot to plant bombs in Tamil Nadu on Independence Day, the police sources said Monday.
Hussain, 32, lodged in the high security Puzhal prison near here for alleged acts of terrorism, has since been transferred to Tirunelveli for further questioning, the source added.
The bomb plot came to light after prison authorities ran a check in the high-security prison here revealing roles of convicts P. Ali Abdullah, Hira, Sheikh Abdul Ghaffoor in the serial blasts that shook Bangalore, killing one person and wounding 40 others.
