There is no word of restoration and reinstatement in the Constitution; there is only one word ‘appointment’ of judges, he told media persons outside Zardari House.

The Minister said that the deposed judges had taken oath under the PCO and LFO’s Article 270-c, which is now not part of the 17th Amendment. While the sitting judges of the superior courts, took oath under 3rd Schedule of the constitution, he added.

Farooq Naek said, it was a constitutional obligation that deposed judges would have to take a fresh oath to perform their duties in line with the law and Constitution.
