Ahmedabad : The state police and the Gujarat State Industrial Security Force (GISF) are maintaining vigil in and around the Narmada dam site in the aftermath of the terror attacks in Ahmedabad and recovery of bombs in Surat, an official said Tuesday.
There was no cause for alarm and police and the GISF are on alert at the dam site, Narmada district Superintendent of Police Khurshid Ahmed told IANS Tuesday.
He said about 60 police and GIFS personnel were guarding the dam site at the Kevadiya Colony, about 220 km from here.
Ahmedabad was ripped apart by 21 coordinated bombings July 26, in which at least 51 people were killed.
