New Delhi : Brigadier Muhammed Iqbal, Defence Adviser at Pakistan High Commission here has countered Indian Army Chief General Deepak Kapoor’s remarks about Pakistan’s alleged involvement in Kabul embassy attack saying India has not provided any evidence even after one month.
Delivering a lecture on the ‘Role of the Indian army in a Changing Security Paradigm’ here at the United Services Institute of India, Gen Deepak Kapoor accused a Pakistan agency for its involvement in Indian embassy suicide attack in Kabul.
Soon after his remarks, Pakistan Defence Adviser, who was one of the invitees to the lecture, rose to his feet and refuted the allegation.
Brig. Iqbal said, “though it is a month now since the Kabul incident, there has been no evidence connecting Pakistan or the ISI to the attack on the Indian embassy.”
After this rebuttal, Gen Kapoor said “as a good neighbour, I will not comment on your comments.”
