Home Minister Shivraj Patil, who is keeping a close tab on the developments in Jammu and Kashmir, told reporters, “The talks were inconclusive. We will meet tomorrow.”

The delegation returned after a two-day tour of Jammu and Kashmir. The delegation leaders met the Shri Amarnath Sangarsh Samiti (SASS), which is spearheading the agitation, in Jammu and also held a meeting with leaders from Kashmir.

Monday’s meeting was attended, among others, by Rural Development Minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh, Water Resources Minister Saifuddin Soz, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah and Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh.

The state has been witnessing violent agitations for over a month over the transfer of land to the Amarnath shrine board, which was later revoked.
