The programme ensures that live “Azan” is transmitted via satellite to all mosques at the same time, thus unifying the call for prayer from a single source.

For Muslims, there are five prayer times in a day, performed at daybreak, noon, late afternoon, sunset and evening respectively. Call for prayers are raised in each mosque by individual muezzins, but the new programme unifies the process by broadcasting from a single mosque a live “Azan”, which is simultaneously transmitted through other mosques in the emirate.

Crown Prince of Ajman Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi who witnessed the launching of the programme on Monday stressed the need for using new technology in the service of religion.
