Three Pakistani rebels of Hizbul Mujahideen killed in Kashmir

New Delhi : As many as three rebels of Pakistan-based banned group Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) have been killed in different encounters in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir.

One encounter took place in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar and Reasi districts, Press Trust of India reported Saturday, quoting senior police official Haseeb Mughal.

Two HM rebels were killed in another encounter in Derna-Marwah area in Kishtwar district today, Mughal said.

Another HM rebel was killed at Mahore tehsil in Reasi district late last night, Mughal said, adding, he has been identified as Shams Din and two hand grenades, one improvised explosive device circuit and one binocular was recovered from him.

Another HM rebel Farooq Ahmed surrendered yesterday before the security forces at Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district, the news agency said.
