UAE’s national carrier to begin flights to Moscow

Abu Dhabi : Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Monday said it will begin flights to Moscow in December, WAM news agency reported.

Etihad will conduct five flights a week between Abu Dhabi and Moscow starting Dec 1. This will be Etihad’s 11th destination in Europe, the airline said.

“Russia represents a key market for Etihad. The country’s economic development is helping people to become rich who can easily access Abu Dhabi’s property market and leisure attractions,” the airline’s Chief Executive Officer, James Hogan, said.

Etihad launched its maiden flight on Nov 5, 2003. Currently, it provides services to 55 destinations in Asia, including India, besides Africa, Europe, and North America.
