On Thursday, until 2 p.m., 970 trucks moved from Jammu to the Kashmir Valley. Of these, 343 transported foodgrain, 128 meat and 188 others fuel and petroleum products, the ministry said in a statement.

Similarly, 1,033 trucks went from Srinagar to Jammu. Of these, 437 carried fruits and 96 vegetables.

The home ministry statement follows allegations in the Kashmir Valley that there had been a blockade of the highway linking Jammu and Srinagar in the wake of the Amarnath shrine land row.
