Colombo : India defeated Sri Lanka by 33 runs in the third One-Day International and took a 2-1 lead in the five-match series at the R. Premedasa Stadium here Sunday.
Chasing a target of 238, the hosts were all out for 204 with an over to spare. Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardene was the top scorer with 94 runs.
