Istanbul, Turkey : The Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), Prof Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu had a meeting with US Special Envoy Ambassador Sada Cumber in Istanbul, Turkey.
They discussed possible issues of cooperation in particular developing joint projects to explore the ways and means of reducing infant and mother mortality rates in OIC States.
They discussed also the possibilities of establishing electronic libraries in developing OIC member states, according to a press release issued in Jeddah today.
During the meeting, the Secretary General exchanged views with the Special Envoy on the progress in relationship between the OIC and the US since the latter’s appointment by the US President as Special Envoy to the OIC.
