Tehran : Foreign Ministry spokesman, Hassan Qashqavi, said on Monday that Iran and the United Arab Emirates are seriously determined to remove the misunderstanding and boost all-out ties.
Talking to reporters during his weekly press briefing, he said Tehran welcomes expansion of ties with the UAE.
On possible participation of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in the upcoming Persian Gulf Cooperation Council summit, he said the main objective of recent visit to Tehran of the Qatari Emir was to announce willingness of the PGCC member states to promote ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Qashqavi added that bilateral relations would lead to promotion of peace and security in the entire region.
Referring to imminent visit to Dushanbe, Tajikistan, of President Ahmadinejad, he said the Iranian president is to attend Shanghai Summit there.
Ahmadinejad is also to meet his counterparts and senior officials of the member states on the sidelines of the Summit.
