New Delhi : Re-polling passed off peacefully Tuesday at nine polling stations in three assembly constituencies of Delhi.
Delhi Chief Electoral Officer Satbir Silas Bedi told reporters that the turnout was 57 percent, almost as much as that reported in the 69 constituencies of Delhi Nov 29.
Polling in one constituency was deferred after the death of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Puran Chand Yogi.
Tuesday’s re-poll was ordered following procedural wrangling, failure of electronic voting machines and complaints of bogus balloting.
