New Delhi : With his fate hanging in balance, Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh was Tuesday summoned to Delhi by the Congress high command.
“He has been called to Delhi by the party high command and is expected to reach by evening,” sources in the Congress party said.
Deshmukh on Monday had offered to resign in the face of scathing criticism in the aftermath of the Mumbai terror carnage, which left at least 183 dead.
The decision on his resignation is likely to be taken Tuesday by the party high command.
