Muslims to observe Dec. 6th as ‘Black Day’

By RINA,

New Delhi: Whereas Vishwa Hindu Parishad is preparing to celebrate coming sixth day of December as ‘Shaurya Diwas’ (Valor Day), Muslim organizations have announced to commemorate the day as a ‘Black Day’. Extremist Hindu activists use this day to create disturbances. Last year, Vishwa Hindu Parishad organized a ‘Sant Sammelan’ in Ayodhya on this day that pledged to construct Ram Mandir at the ‘same place’. Government is apprehensive of more trouble this year.

Ayodhya convener of Babri Masjid Action Committee Mohammad Yunus Siddiqui told press reporters that Muslim community will close its business units on December 6th and observe the day as a ‘sorrowful day’. The community will also organize special prayers for the reconstruction of Babri Masjid.

The city president of Muslim League Najmul Hasan Ghani revealed more brisk program, “A protest demonstration will be held in the court complex on December 6th and demand will be raised to hand over Ram Mandir-Babri Masjid Complex to Indian Army.”

The decision regarding the ‘Black Day’ was also affirmed in several cities of the country. In a meeting in Amroha called for the same purpose, the president of Young Muslim Committee Marghoob Siddiqui said, “The greatest terrorist incident in the history of India happened on December 6, 1992, when Babri Masjid was martyred. Terrorism increased inside the country because of organizations like BJP, Shiv Sena, Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad.”

Suspecting a terror attack on December 6, the government has enhanced security arrangements. Article 144 has been invoked in Ayodhya in wake of imminent Muslim demonstrations. Special security arrangements have also been made at main airports of the country.
