Speaking exclusively in Geo News program `Aaj Kamran Khan Ke Saath,’ he underlined need for adopting a fresh road map with renewed commitment.

“I don’t want to create problems for the government. The country could destabilise if a movement is carried out on streets,” Nawaz Sharif said.

He urged Pakistan Peoples Party to recognize will of Benazir Bhutto regarding the Charter of Democracy and also demanded of the incumbent government to keep its promises regarding the 17th amendment of the Constitution, 58 (2)b and independence of judiciary.

“We still want this government to complete its five-year term. I don’t want the position of President Asif Ali Zardari.”
The PML-N Chief said people from all segments of society should come forward and play their role towards saving this country.

Criticizing the policies of Musharraf led previous government, he said it would have even allowed bombardment on Supreme Court and Parliament of the country if they had such powers.

To a question Nawaz Sharif said, “To Asif Ali Zardari promises are meant to be broken but to us promises are always meant to be fulfilled.”
He said the appointment of Chairman Senate must be held in accordance with the Constitution and law.
