Mumbai : Mumbai’s terror-hit Trident-Oberoi hotel, one of the hotels badly hit during the terror attacks, partly reopened Sunday morning.
Trident, the tower block of the Trident-Oberoi hotel, was reopened on Sunday morning, nearly a month after 22 visitors and 10 employees were killed in the Nov. 26-29 terror attack.
The older Oberoi wing, which suffered more extensive damage, will take six-seven months to open, Rattan Keswani, President of Trident Hotels said at a news conference.
Trident’s business is expected to suffer in the tourist and business heavy months between January to March, when occupancy rates are expected to fall 30 percent from last year.
The Taj Mahal Palace and Tower Hotel, which also suffered seriously during the Nov. 26-29 attack, will partly reopen as well on Sunday evening.
In the Mumbai terror attacks, some 174 people were killed and 239 injured.
