Rohtak (Haryana) : Three members of a family were injured when a low-intensity explosion took place in a residential locality in this Haryana town Monday evening, police said, adding that investigations were on.
The injured, Prashant, Chanchal and their son, were rushed to a hospital.
Police officials said the explosion took place when the child touched an electronic object in the Sector 1 area in Rohtak, 70 km from Delhi, and it exploded. The family was getting into their car when the incident took place after 7.30 p.m.
Top police and district administration experts rushed to the spot. Forensic experts were also summoned to examine the electronic object, which looked like a transistor.
Police officials said that further investigations were on.
