Bhopal: The National Convention on Muslim Reservation under the auspices of National Movement for Muslim Reservation shall be held on February 1 next year at India Islamic Cultural Centre in New Delhi.
The convener of the Convention Syed Shahabuddin has in consultation with other responsible members of the Movement has requested Muslim religious leaders and personalities of national eminence to guide the Movement. Their names are include Maulana Syed Rabey Hasani Nadwi, president, AIMPLB; Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umri, Ameer, JIH; Zafar Saifullah, Ex-Cabinet Secretary, GOI; Dr. Zafarul Islam Khan, President, AIMMM; Maulana Syed Nizamuddin, Amir, Imarat-e-Sharia, Bihar-Orissa; Syed Hamid, Chancellor, Jamia Hamdard; Maulana Asghar Imam Salafi Mahdi, General Secretary, Jamaat Ahle Hadith; Dr. Manzoor Alam, Secretary General, All India Milli Council and Moosa Raza, president Movement for Empowerment of Muslims.
In letters addressed to the above personalities on Thursday the convener has sought their support and cooperation in securing reservation for Muslims for their economic, social and educational progress in the light of the Sachchar Committee Report and the recommendations of the Ranganath Mishra Commission. They have also been invited to participate in the Convention as Guests of Honour. ([email protected])
